These pens use a gel-based ink, combining the permanence of oil-based ballpoint ink and the smooth glide of water-based ink, in which pigment is suspended in a water-based gel. Gel ink is thick and opaque, it shows up more clearly on dark or slick surfaces than the typical inks used in ballpoint or felt tip pens.

I got four of the super cute pens for my birthday goody bags! When I opened mine it was not working well so I closed it then opened it and the part on the bottom was stuck in the top! Beacause it was not fully screwed! Now when I write all the led fell of! It should have came screwed!🙄Like, why? But at least the other three worked!
