RETAIL ORDERS:

Ordering & Shipping Info

Everything is handmade to order, and due to the organic qualities of gemstones, pearls, and hammered wire, what you receive will not look exactly like the picture. In addition, not all colors appear the same on all monitors.  If this sounds scary to you, please visit our stockists page to peruse our collection in person.

Items are usually shipped within 2-4 business days.  Occasionally this shipping time will be extended for various reasons, and if that is the case we will contact you immediately if there is a delay on your order. If you need it asap, please contact us to see if we can accommodate your request.

Each item is tucked inside a white jewelry box with an anti-tarnish cotton pad. Orders are shipped via USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail (from Nashville, TN).  Upon shipment, you will receive an email with a delivery confirmation number.

What is your return & exchange policy? 

If you need to return or exchange your purchase, we are happy to help! Returns may be made within 10 from the date that the item is received (with an extended grace period around holidays). Exchanges may be made within 30 days of receipt of order and there is no additional shipping fee to send you the exchange. Please contact us to get the required form - returns and exchanges are not accepted without prior approval by email.

Tell me about gift wrap and gift messages? 

We can gift wrap one box in your order for a small gift wrap fee (you may add this to your order from your shopping cart or view gift wrap here). If you would like additional boxes wrapped, please add an additional gift wrap charge. If you order more than one item but only one gift wrap, please let us know in your order notes which item you would like wrapped. All gift orders will be shipped with a gift receipt (no prices), and if you have a gift note, it is printed on the gift receipt.

Do you offer local pickup? Can I come to your studio and shop?

Everything is made to order by our little hands! Our studio is set up solely for production, and we generally do not have stock on hand. If you want to see my jewelry in person, please visit my retailers page or my events page. However, if you are local to Nashville and in a hurry, you may pick up your online order at our studio but check with us first to make sure we will be around and that your order is ready! Help! My dog chewed on my necklace! Do you repair broken pieces?

If your jewelry breaks, we will repair or replace it free of charge (less shipping costs) within three months of date of purchase. After that time, there may be a small fee. We try to be very fair in our assessment - if there is any doubt that it is due to a faulty component, we do not charge a fee. Please contact us first to discuss the nature of the repair required.

 

Jewelry Care:

How do I care for the jewelry? 
Handmade jewelry is more delicate than mass-manufactured jewelry, but with proper care it should last a lifetime. Just like your mother always said, if you do not take good care of something, it will show signs of wear and tear!

The fundamentals of good jewelry care are: make sure it is the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. Always store it out of the open air (even though branch jewelry holders are adorable) and keep it away from chemicals such as sunscreen, hairspray, perfume, etc. Another good rule of thumb is to wash your jewelry with soap and water (and rinse and dry well) after a wild night of partying or just a hot day at the park.  It is also not recommended to exercise in your handmade jewelry, as it can cause unnecessary stress on the piece, and the salt from sweating does not react well with the metals.  Sorry Southern gals but if you're going to spend a lot of time outside in the humid days of summer, it's probably better to leave your Freshie & Zero necklace at home, but you can wear your Freshie & Zero earrings on a hot summer day instead!

What is gold-filled? 
Gold-filled materials are much more economical and practical than solid gold, and display the rich look of gold at a fraction of the cost. They are not filled with gold as the name suggests, but rather a thick layer of real gold is permanently bonded to an underlying metal, such as nickel free jeweler's brass or sterling silver. They should not be mistaken for gold-plated since they have 100 times more gold than plate - in fact; they are 1/20 gold by weight. Under normal wear, gold-filled materials will never peel, flake, or wear and can be treasured for generations.
Gold filled does not tarnish or "rub off". However, on some of my pieces there is a place where it has been soldered and this will occasionally darken due to wear and weather.  Simply buff the dark spot with a jewelry polishing cloth or clean it with a liquid jewelry cleaner to shine it back up again.

Does sterling silver tarnish?  
Yes, it does over time.  The best way to prevent it is to store your jewelry in an airtight container such as a jewelry box or ziploc baggie, and keep it away from sweat and humidity.  However, sterling is super easy to clean!  Silver polishing cloths will do the trick but they can take a lot of time & elbow grease so I prefer an actual liquid cleaner.  You can pick up silver jewelry cleaner at any CVS/Walgreens/Bed Bath & Beyond type store and simply dip, rinse well, and dry!  Just make sure you don't dip any of the stones or pearls in the cleaner - it will dissolve their luster.  Even easier than that is cleaning them with toothpaste and a toothbrush (that you no longer use, of course!).  Clean, rinse, and dry!

Can I go swimming in your jewelry? 
I definitely do not recommend wearing jewelry in a treated swimming environment (unlike a natural environment like a lake or ocean).  I learned this by mistake - I was wearing a silver necklace and got in a hot tub and it's never been the same since.  Any sort of pool or hot tub has chemicals that the jewelry does not like, so play it safe and take them off before swimming. In addition, perfumes, lotions, hair sprays, profuse sweating, really humid climates, etc. are all elements prone to make the sterling tarnish quickly.

+ Will you donate to our auction? 
We would love to donate to all of the worthy causes out there, but unfortunately that is just not possible! We happily donate jewelry whenever we can, but we confine our donations to the state of Tennessee.

+ How did you get started?  Where do you buy your supplies? What kind of wire do you use?
I wrote a nifty little blog about getting started in the craft & craft show scene, notes about being an entrepreneur, and also about photographing jewelry and photo shoots.  I hope this will be a great jumping point for aspiring designers. There are also many other great resources out there including Launch Grow Joy, Aeolidia, and Paper N Stitch.  I really don't feel comfortable answering technical questions (nobody wants to be copied) or information about my sources, though, so please don't ask me where I buy my gemstones or chains, etc. 

+ Do you accept custom orders?
Currently we are unable to accept any custom orders due to our busy production schedule. However, we are open to suggestions and will keep them in mind when designing new work.

+ Do you sell pendants without the chains or vice versa?
No. Necklaces are only sold as a whole and not as separate pieces.
