About the Artist: Helen Black is a freelance illustrator and surface pattern designer based in the seaside city of Brighton, U.K. She uses a mix of painted, along with hand drawn and digital techniques within her work; black ink is her tool of choice when creating textures and patterns for her designs.
Helen loves using bold, bright colors and creating fun characters, as well as illustrating florals. Bringing a little bit of joy to people is the aim of her work. She shares a desk with her cat, Earl, and when not designing, loves a seaside walk.
